WHAT IS THE FOOD LIKE IN THE HOLY LAND?

There is so much to explore in Israel, this includes Israeli cuisine. To give you an idea of the type of food you might run into, the YouTube video on the right gives you a taste of some of the culinary delights!

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN DECEMBER?

The month of December is characterized by falling daily high temperatures, with daily highs decreasing from 72°F to 65°F over the course of the month, exceeding 76°F or dropping below 61°F only one day in ten.

WILL MY CELLPHONE WORK IN ISRAEL?

It is recommended that you contact your cellular service provider to determine international coverage. For your convienience, there will be Wifi in all the hotels.

HOW MUCH DO I PACK? IS THERE A PACKING LIST?

A suggested packing list will be sent 30 days before the trip with your final itinerary.

IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL IN ISRAEL?

U.S. State Dept. Travel Advisory Safety in Israel -

Over three million foreign citizens, including hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens, safely visit Israel and the West Bank each year for study, tourism, and business. The Government of Israel and the Palestinian Authority make considerable efforts to protect U.S. citizens and other visitors to major tourist destinations.

WHAT CURRENCY IS USED IN ISRAEL? CAN I USE U.S. DOLLARS? 

We suggest that you use your credit cards for purchases or when going out to dinner, and use Israeli currency for taxis, etc. There are ATMs throughout Israel, where you can withdraw Israeli Shekels from your account at a favorable exchange rate. Please check with your bank or credit card company to learn about any fees associated with foreign transactions. In addition, please make sure your bank/credit card company knows you will be traveling overseas so you do not have trouble using your cards.
